Academic background in Industrial Engineering and Management.

Dina is the Manager of UBImedical at University of Beira Interior (UBI), an incubator focused on  Health and Life-Science sectors. Among other duties, she is responsible for the creation and scale up of start-ups coming from UBI, as well as the organization and management of international projects with other stakeholders from incubators, universities, companies, while also responsible for also attracting and managing the clinical studies at the Coordination Centre for Clinical Trials of UBI/UBImedical. She is an integrated researcher at CEG-IST – Centre for Management Studies /IST-University of Lisbon (since 2013), where she performed her Post-Doc studies and collaborator researcher at NECE- Research Centre in Business Sciences/University of Beira Interior (since 2018), where her major interests and publications are in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation. She was part of a program managed by the Portuguese Ministry of Science and Technology dedicated to technology transfer, which made possible a set of missions abroad in institutions like University of Texas, University of California at San Diego, at the US, the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, The Weizmann Institute and Tel-Aviv University, in Israel, and Bergen University in Norway. Dina is a member of the EIT Food RIS Council, Mentor of the EIT Health Mentoring and Coaching Network (MCN) and of BGI – Building Global Innovators. She participated in 15 EU and national projects and is co-inventor of 1 patent in the field of brain stimulation.
